The trampoline park in Bethel, Illinois, has employed more than 300 employees since opening in 2014. However, last March, it closed for a month, and many employees volunteered with local nonprofits until the facility could reopen. On top of that, the trampoline park has been cited by the city of Danbury for a fire code occupancy violation and reckless conduct. The mayor of the village said the lawsuit did not affect the decision to close Sky Zone Bethel, but the village of Orland Park plans to revoke the trampoline park’s business license.
The Trampoline Park
In addition to the fun, the trampoline park is great for young and old. For kids and teens with endless energy, Sky Zone Plainfield offers toddler jumping hours three days a week. For adults looking for a different type of workout, it offers party packages and overnight lock-ins. In addition, they accept walk-ins. Just make sure you sign a waiver online to be able to jump at Sky Zone.

The Highland Heights Sky Zone is holding a job fair this Friday, where they are looking for 65 to 90 people to work as court monitors to enforce game rules. They are also looking for cashiers and other positions in the office. Court monitors must be CPR and first-aid certified, and must be able to follow safety procedures. The Highland Heights Sky Zone offers fitness classes and will soon start offering yoga on trampolines.
In addition to offering fitness classes, Sky Zone offers a wide variety of activity programs, including Toddler Time to encourage active habits at a young age. Sky Slam combines basketball with trampolines and Ultimate Dodgeball combines sports with exercise. Adults can join a low-impact aerobics class known as Skyrobics. This fitness class is great for all ages, but space is limited. Children can also attend SkyRobics 4Kids, a fitness class designed for children.
Besides fitness classes, Sky Zone also hosts birthday parties and offers special programs for people with special needs. Toddler time is the perfect place to get moving without causing any harm to the little ones. Adults and children of all ages can have fun jumping off the walls and playing games, which can help with back pain and joint pain. Afterwards, parents can enjoy Sky Zone’s family-friendly atmosphere, including SkyFit classes.
It has a hurricane simulator
If you’ve ever wondered how to prepare your home for a hurricane, Sky Zone has the answer. The facility is technically called NICHE, which stands for National Full-Scale Testing Infrastructure for Community Hardening in Extreme Wind, Surge, and Wave Events. Researchers plan to spend the next four years designing the facility, but must make key decisions within the first six months. The simulator’s funding sources are still unclear. One person pushing for the facility is Richard Olson, director of Florida International University’s Extreme Events Institute. He recently lobbied the government to create a new hurricane category – a category of 180 mph.
